Úna is a fourth year Sports Science and Health student at DCU who completed her personal training and gym instructor qualifications part-time during her second year at university. She comes from a strong sporting background having competed in GAA, basketball and tennis and is a current Irish cricket international. Una has recently returned from a 2 month internship in Perth, Australia, where she worked as a strength and conditioning and sports science intern with a professional state team. Una also has experience working with chronic disease rehabilitation clients as part of DCU’s MedEx program, which uses exercise and nutritional interventions to treat, manage and prevent chronic illnesses. She currently works with local athletes to deliver specific strength and running programs and provides GPS data and analysis. Una is passionate about providing evidence-based knowledge to help her clients achieve their goals and make exercise and nutrition an enjoyable and rewarding part of their lifestyle.
